So my pregnancy "nesting" has kicked in. Last night I made Geno stay up late with me to work on the nursery. Between Max's room and trying to make Noah's more a big boy room we've been busy. Well I've been busy shopping online, poor Geno is the one who has to bring out all the power tools. Max's room is "Where the Wild Things Are." This was Noah's favorite book at one point and how we first found and loved the name Max.
"That very night in Max's room a forest grew, and grew, and grew until his ceiling hung with vines and the walls became the world all around." - Where the Wild Things Are
Before this room was a toy room and the favorite of all Noah's friends. And of course, I always let the little monkeys jump on the bed.
They will all be equally traumatized the day they find little Max sleeping in here and no more monkeys jumping on the bed.
4 notes:
Love the room and the theme is so fitting for a little guy named Max. You have also totally inspired me to get wall decals for Michael's playroom. Heres to not being minimalists when it comes to decorating our kid's rooms!
I teared up a little reading your "Where the Wild Things Are" quote. I LOVE the name Max and know already he is a very very special little boy. It doesn't hurt that ever since my little sister was born I have always had a very soft spot for "second" children. I can't wait to meet Max!
awwww, how awesome!
what a great place for Max.
I love the theme and the reason for choosing it.
nice work!
Does nesting occur when your husband turns an age where it's not divisible by prime numbers?
