Evening Walks

I am loving the fact that it's still warm at 7 PM so we can go for evening walks. We walk around our neighborhood and then up through the gated community down the street. When we walk through the gated community the people wave from their perfectly manicured lawns as we pass by. Then we come back to our street where we are always sure to wave to the super friendly gentlemen at the end of the street who, without fail, gives us the stink eye and goes back into his house. I will be sure to draw a map to his house when my boys reach their toilet papering teen years. Lately when we have been going for walks Noah has been getting restless. He's two and an evening walk that doesn't require running into oncoming traffic is just not his thing. So we let him off of his push bike and when we come around to our street tell him to go run and find our house.
When we did this last week we rounded the corner to find a solicitor walking up our front walk way. Noah is tearing down the street yelling "there's our house! there it is!" All the while Geno and I keep walking. "What? No. Keep moving buddy. Thats not it." The solicitor gives us the friendly stink eye that has become customary on our street and we do another lap around the neighborhood before returning home. Moral of the story is if Noah grows up and is directionally challenged we are to blame.

Awesome - I could totally see Ryan and I doing the same thing... we hate solicitors!
