Wedding

Saturday night was my cousin Brandon's wedding at Trophy Lake Golf Course. It was the perfect weather for an outdoor wedding, and the scenery with the waterfall background was breathtaking. It was so fun to get dressed up again and have a night out.

The bride and groom were dashing.
And the ceremony was short and sweet.
For some it may have been serene, but I found these two occupying the seats next to me. Making it all but serene. But I should have foreseen that when they were included in my + 1. Luckily for us, the ceremony was quick and they were able to run wild the rest of the night.
Max didn't even make it to the dinner course of the evening.
Noah didn't touch his dinner and feasted solely on cake and, as I found out later, several other guest's pieces of cake when they left their chairs momentarily. His overload of sugar combined with the heat equated to one crazy two year old.
We gracefully exited before anyone was injured by his matchbox cars being catapulted across the dance floor. And we were home before the sun went down.
When your + 1 includes two half-size ones, it is never going to be a romantic, serene event. More of a dressed up version of our normal evenings. But with moments of laughter and fun in between the craziness. And another memory in our journey of 2 +2.

You can ALWAYS call me to watch the kids for your next family wedding. God knows we love our kids, but everyone needs a little serentiy! :)
