Thanksgiving Memories 2009

# 1. My grandma has always had thanksgiving, my grandpa carved the turkey and my grandma made homemade pies. This is our first year without my grandpa so I filled in as the pie maker.
The lattice of this pie compliments of my ever so talented hubby.
# 2. Noah having more fun then ever this year playing with his cousins.
Especially this sweetheart.
# 3. Cousin Connor transformed from baby to full fledge toddler. Scrappiness and all.
# 4. Noah played his first ever board game with grandma, chutes and ladders. And when he started to lose he conveniently tossed all the players on the floor.
Too cute to be called out on his cheating.
# 5. Both of Geno's brothers and there significant others were at the same spot as us for Thanksgiving dinner. A rarity.
# 6. After dessert everyone went home except for the immediate family. Grandma entertained the kiddos by turning into the human swing.
# 7. And then in an effort to burn off all the sugar, we had a dance off of the babies.
# 8. Connor was in the lead with this move. Max couldn't believe he busted that one out in front of the family.
Go Connor. Go Connor.
9. But when Noah (far back) started busting out his break dancing skills the other babies bowed out gracefully.
10. My well behaved Max spent the entire night crawling for every outlet and power cord in sight. And my sweet Noah did his best to make sure there were no toys available for any of the other kids.
11. Favorite memory this year, Grandma and Grandpa reading Noah "The Night Before Christmas."
It is the smallest things - who cuts the turkey and makes the pies, who reads you that Christmas story, that stay with you. These are the memories that I keep.

Holy lattice - some serious work went into those pies. I think their sweet little huggin' cousin looks so much like Mason!
