{30 Days Of Halloween} Day 10

{Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting}
Noah & I made these yummy pumpkin bars tonight.
I decided to let him do all the pouring and mixing this time, knowing that we might be eating pumpkin bars with chunks of flour in it later. But tonight this was going to be all about him. And Geno loves all pumpkin/cream cheese combos, so he was willing to risk GI complications to eat the final product. So it was a win-win.
Some serious frustration when he couldn't shake the pumpkin puree free from the can.
This little baker man did an awesome job.
We had a small setback involving the Kitchen Aid.
The recipe said to mix the ingredients nice and slow but Noah made the executive decision to crank it up to the highest level. At that point some of our ingredients went flying. But we decided we didn't really need all the eggs and flour. So we proceeded. And a plus, my cabinets now have a nice pumpkin aroma to them.
I baked it after the little misters went to bed.
Made the frosting and it was done. I was amazed it turned out.
Cut into it and sadly, the middle pieces looked a little figgy pudding. But the outside pieces were deemed safe. And it was honestly really, really good. The Jr Baker can devour the safe pieces in the morning. And the pumpkin figgy pudding will add a fresh scent to the trash (or Geno's stomach, that one's kind of a wild card).

Your house looks so cozy right now and the bars look delish. I'm on my way over.
