I loved everything about this year's halloween. I loved that Noah was finally old enough to really feel the excitement of it all. And the permanent grin he wore that night trick or treating with his friends. I loved when it grew dark and we took the kids trick or treating by flashlight. The kids ran to the door by themselves and we stood at the end of the driveway, taking it all in. I loved how after they got their candy the kids came running back and Noah stayed behind, chatting with the homeowner until they sent him on his way. A day spent with good friends and family. By far, my most favorite halloween. And it goes without saying, a day in your life is so much better when experienced through your child's eyes.
Let's get this party started.
Gig Harbor Waterfront
We met up with our next door neighbors.
Mason, Noah, & Scarlett
Noah was seriously impressed with how much candy Scarlett had already scored.
It motivated the boys to power treat.
Noah waited in line every time like this.
I may not get to trick or treat, but that's not going to stop me from eating their candy.
We finally freed Max.
And his stroller quickly filled up with tired trick or treaters.
Hangin' with the Gig Harbor Police.
And giving them fist bumps.
Elation.
After the waterfront we refueled back home and then took the kids trick or treating around our neighborhood. By far, this was their favorite part of the night. Ringing doorbells + yelling + candy = happiness.
The first couple houses were duds so Noah made sure to tell everyone that answered "those other guys wouldn't open the door for us." Quite the gossip, he spread the word about the bad neighbors to put pressure on them next year.
Scarlett and Noah held hands as they walked door to door. A good strategy to elicit more candy from the moms.
Noah back at home with his loot. A ridiculous amount of candy for one little boy (and his unborn sibling) to consume.
1 notes:
That looks like the best halloween and you will have many more special ones to come. Next year Noah can show Max how it is really done! I hope Noah at least shared at least one Reese's with you :)
