We were up before the sun (look out the window to see the darkness) with one very excited little boy.
And one, who despite stockings and toys and gifts galore...
Was just not ready to open his eyes.
So back to bed with hopes for more sugar plums dancing in his head.
Meanwhile, this one tore into his gifts.
And someone came back for round 2.
And we had our own Christmas M.C.
And superhero-elf to distribute the gifts.
We put on our new jammies and the family arrived.
And started our Christmas morning all over again.
It was chaotic and crazy and filled with cheer.
And we played, and we played, and we played...
Until it was time to start again, for Christmas dinner at Grandma's.
We all just needed a little time to recharge.
And back home again that night, the boys still in their jammies, our Christmas day was ending. But their excitement and overwhelming feelings from the day were still shining through.
And when they were asleep and the house finally quiet, we were smiling. Sitting and talking about our favorite parts of their day. It's contagious and it's the greatest, capturing the joy of these little ones on Christmas day.
