Saturday was all things beautiful. Sunny and warm. We were determined to get to the beach. Trying to get anywhere these days with three boys four and under is quite the feat. Two hours of prepping and packing (it felt much longer), ended up being more than a fair trade for this day at the beach.
****
We arrived and I parked the two big ones in the grass while we attempted to balance a baby and unloaded our billions of packed items.
Noah resourcefully turned the beach umbrella into a weapon.
We were lucky.
This beach is pretty isolated so it was pretty empty, even on this gorgeous day.

Luke and I were shade-bound.
Looks like a summer of pastiness for you and I my friend.
Magically, lunch just tastes better at the beach.
They made mudpies.
Found crabs and clam shells.
Pocketed Sanddollars.
Played catch with a dog (and tried to convince their dad for one of their own).
And splashed around in the water until the sun was set.
We had to bribe them out (a la ice cream).
There were long faces as we packed up. They, because they didn't want to leave and us, because we didn't want to haul all the crap back to the car.
Now we can only hope the sun comes back soon. So we can have more of these moments. More memories to pocket and balance out the rainy days. Needed reminders that when the sun does grace us with its presence, there truly is no place more beautiful to live than here.
And I think they would agree.
2 notes:
Beautiful pictures! Looks a lot different than I remember it. Probably because there weren't 100 6 year olds running around:)
I love the picture of Noah and Max hugging. So cute!
