Noah Update

Went to the doctor this morning and they found the culprit! The back of his throat is red and raw and covered in small white blisters (hope you're not eating lunch while you read this!) He has pharyngitis, a painful inflammation of the pharynx (back of the throat) that can make eating and sometime swallowing very painful. The type he has is viral which means that his body just has to work hard (hence the high fever) to fight it off. The good news is he will be back to himself in a few days. Noah is loving that dad decided to stay home today and help out. If he leaves the room for a second Noah is yelling dada at the top of his lungs and Geno goes back to cuddle with him. Not even 2 years old and he's got us completely figured out. Thanks for everyones calls and emails. A few bowls of chicken noodle soup, a couple of popsicles, and a few dozen hugs from dad should cure him.

I am so sorry about this - I absoultely HATE seeing kids sick too. The last time we had a super high fever and regular vomitting when anything hit belly, I discovered otter pops and feverall (suppositories). That really helped us - now I am well stocked, although I hope there is never a next time...for Noah too.

Good idea with the otter pops! Geno used to be addicted to those so I know they won't go to waste.
