Toddler Tree

This year we decided to purchase our first ever "Toddler Tree" for Christmas. Did you know they made those? It bothered me last year when taking a picture of the boys in front of the tree that the picture cut off half of the tree. A "Toddler Tree" is a scaled down version, perfect for taking pictures of little ones with.

Here is our tree from last year

And here is Geno with our awesome Toddler Tree.

Okay I'm totally lying. There is no such thing as a Toddler Tree. Here is how the little guy above came to be part of our home. Geno ran out with Noah last night to get us dinner and on his way home, in the snow, he passed a tree lot. So he drives up, flags down the attendant, points to the first tree he sees and says, "how much for that one?" "Twenty," the guy says. "Great, I'll take it. Throw it in the back of the truck." He walked in the door with the tree and told me the story. "So, you got a drive-thru Christmas tree?" I said. "Sure did." He said, very proudly. And then he put it it up on the stand and we both started laughing. "Did it look bigger at the lot?" I asked. "Well it was dark," he said.  So we moved it room to room, trying to scale it down next to our big furniture, finally stuffed it in the corner and called it good. Noah and I tried to give the little guy some love today with a few ornaments. And it only took one strand of lights! We are so energy efficient this year.

Its a sad little tree. But how many of you can take a close up picture of the kids and still get the whole tree in the back? Well, alright then.

"What do you think of the tree Audry?"

"She'll see it when she gets home, Clark. Her eyes are frozen shut."

Time to bust out National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

i think you'll be glad you got a little one this year when you'll have the baby too! Last year we had a huge tree and it took forever to get it out of the house!

So did you want to re enact the christmas tree from Charlie Brown Christmas, Geno? Or did you just want to play "Giant" with the tree?..
