Max was baptized over the weekend and in typical Max fashion, he did great. Pretty safe to say he's one of the few babies you will hear of that was laughing and smiling while the water was poured over his head. Love him! Fr Jerry did the baptism. He is the same priest that baptized Noah and was the minister at our wedding. He also happens to be the football coach from my High School and served as the unofficial counselor to us High School girls (ie he let us skip class to cry about our High School friends and boyfriends in his office) Needless to say he is not your typical priest and we love him.
Max's godparents, Aunt Jen and Uncle John. They are also godparents to several other kids so we chose them out of love and were willing to risk Max being part of an Octo-type family.
The Spectators. When doing the invitations I advised anyone under 3 to bring their own grandma in order to contain the chaos. Luckily there were plenty of grandmas to go around.
And the second he passed Max back to me he threw up down my shirt. Or "baptized me" as Grandma Sarah said.
The entire baptism was done in under 30 minutes so we had time to explore after. Here is Mason and Noah practicing sitting outside the principal's office.
Can officially check this one off my list of "Things to Teach Him Before He Starts 1st Grade."
1 notes:
Love Father Jerry! He did Michael's baptism too, but Michael cried the entire time:) Good job Max!
