Uncle John and Aunt Jen brought their boat down for the weekend so we took them out to our cabin for a day at the lake.
The boys played in the water.
Noah raced around the dock.
And Max giggled away in a fort we made for him on the dock. Again, easiest baby ever.
We had lunch on the dock.
And then took the boys out for their first boat ride.
Max's head was too big and neck too small for the life jacket. So I anchored him to me and we sailed along as one big sweat ball on the 72 degree day.
Noah was scared at first. Can you tell?
But quickly relaxed and realized that THIS is the life.
Cousin Connor's been boating so many times he's an old pro.
As the day grew warmer the big boys dove into the lake.
And while they swam happily Jen and I attended to the 3 kids. This was the point where we fantasized about abandoning them out here.
And shared germs through a binkie swap.
Connor was happy most of the trip.
Despite his ridiculously uncomfortable looking life jacket.
That he later took a nap in.
After being on the boat for awhile Noah had an epiphany.
He decided the lifestyle of the rich and the famous suited him well.
And he was never going back to his old life.
Until we got back to the dock and told him it was time to go home. He cried and screamed as we put him in the car. His new life over before it even began. We went home and watched Annie so he could feel better about his Hard Knock Life.
2 notes:
Looks like Geno finally ditched the water wings, so proud... maybe wanted to show the kiddos he CAN swim?
I love Max in his fort - what a cute little man!
