This last month we've seen big changes in the boys relationship. Max has always been over the moon for Noah but now Noah is starting to look at Max less as that little person who takes my toys and more as my little buddy that will play with me. They are starting to become friends. Here are some sweet happenings:
Every night when we bring them upstairs for baths, Noah announces, "ready, set, go!" and the two of them tear off down the hallway. Sometimes they hold hands and sometimes they run in opposite directions but they continue to run back and forth together down the hallway in fits of laughter until we end it.
Noah has a little chair with his name on it and Max loves to sit in it. This week they have been attempting to sit in the chair together, which always results in the chair tipping, but makes them laugh again and again.
Noah talks to Max constantly and makes up the answers when he doesn't get a response. "Are you hungry baby Max? Oh. He says he wants a cookie. You should probably get one for the both of us."
This morning Noah left for school before Max woke up. After Max woke and ate his breakfast he made a fast break for the stairs, laughing with excitement. He tore up the stairs and ran into Noah's room and then just stopped. He looked at Noah's empty bed, then looked at me. Looked back at the empty bed and then me again. And then just plopped down on the floor, not knowing what to do with himself. He missed his big brother and expected to find him here. Every day brings something different, but for this month at least, these boys would tell you its good to have a brother.
