We woke this morning excited to see the street and yard covered in a blanket of snow. Disappointment slowly set in when we realized it wasn't enough snow to keep Geno home from work. But since it was still early, we decided to take the boys out to play before he headed out. We dug through the closets for boots and missing mittens while the boys stared out the laundry room window watching the backyard turn white.

We headed out front and Max immediately face planted, bending over trying to grab a handful of snow. He stood back up, face icy and red, and smiled.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood. Realizing quickly the roads held very little snow as our sled scratched along the dry parts of pavement.

And Max. Big as he is. Put himself into full recline position. After Noah cried that he was getting crushed, we turned back towards home.

And a quick trip to the backyard.

A beautiful morning. Followed by warm baths, a fort in the dining room, a movie, and promises that we will do it all again when dad gets home if they just take a little nap.
