Luke's Birth.

{Luke Thomas Beaty}
Hi peeps. I decided to make a cameo early. Surprise!

My sweet baby Luke. Gave us quite the shock by arriving early this morning. 2 1/2 weeks early. I was scheduled for a repeat C-Section 4/1. Woke at 230 am last night when my water broke. {!!!} We hightailed it to the hospital with an unpacked bag and no car seat, but ready all the same. The nurses hooked up the monitor and I was having contractions every 3 minutes. They called in the Dr and I was in the OR  within the hour. Poor Geno almost didn't make it to the surgery. After almost almost passing out when they couldn't get my IV started. The nurses were attending to him in the hall and I was alone in the room thinking, "hello? I would like some assistance with this whole labor thing if anyone is free." He recovered and off we went. The C-Section went well and I feel great.
Luke was born at 610 am, 6 lbs 10 oz, 19 inches long.
He cried immediately {heart melting} and his color looked beautiful.
But he was grunting and having difficulty breathing so he is in the NICU now.
There is some fluid in his lungs and they are unsure if it is transient from being early or an infection. But the NICU nurses are taking good care of our boy. He is on CPAP and antibiotics now, and given sedation since his O2 sats fall when he gets agitated.
Please say a prayer for little Luke. That he breathes easier tonight, so I can hold my sweet boy.
Will update more soon. And hopefully, with a picture of {mama and baby here}.
