Noah learned to swim in one short summer.
My family kept telling me how great he was doing, but I sadly, wasn't able to witness it for myself.
In fact, I hadn't been up to the pool since week 2
(when Max not-so-gracefully bowed out of his lessons).
Balancing Luke in the shade while keeping Max from running into the pool full throttle proved to be a little too much for this mama, so we stayed home.
Lucky me, Geno snuck away briefly from work today so I could go watch Noah in action!
I was really excited to get to watch my boy swim today,
especially being sans baby entourage.
Really, the morning was enough for me just spending some one-on-one time with Noah.
I can't tell you how proud I am of this kid and all that happiness he brings to our life.
I shot a few short videos today so the rest of the family can see what a little fish he has become.
Our own Noah Phelps in training.
What this kid lacks in size he more than makes up for in spirit and determination.
This first clip is him doing head bobs.
I love this moment captured because he looks at me after every time he comes up for air
(and my heart swells).
He was so excited to have me come watch him today.
And having him look my way each time
is one of the best feelings as a mom.
(Also love his instructor Peter casually at the end of this clip saying, "what is that, like 30 Noah?"
Peter is pretty proud of him too.
This next one he is doing a torpedo and swimming to Peter.
Here he is swimming all the way to the rope. Awesome.
Go Noah, go.
As the saying goes,
being a parent is like deciding to forever have your heart
go walking around outside your body.
Every time I re-watch these clips,
my heart does a little cheer.
And currently Noah is requesting viewing #85.
High-five little super star.
4 notes:
So AWESOME and proud of the little man & now if Geno falls in the kiddy pool Noah can save him
Way to go Noah! It is a great feeling, Jessie. Coop has learned to swim in the past few months and it is truly amazing!
Go Noah, go! You have inspired Michael. He has now agreed to take lessons! Yay:)
These are great Jess! So proud of Noah! He looks so great! Max will be right there with him next year :)
