Relaxing on my couch tonight I was a little concerned when I heard what I thought to be a police raid outside my door. I went to my window and was overcome with delight. It was a car with an intercom announcing Santa was approaching our street on a firetruck. "Santa's coming honey!" I yelled up the stairs to Geno, realizing now that yes, I must have sounded like I lost my mind. "Hurry and grab Noah!" Who we had just begun to put to bed. Geno came flying down the stairs at record speed hurdling a wide eyed 2 year old through the front door. I ran after them after grabbing my camera and shoes. "Ouch!" grumbled Geno again and again as he made his way down the driveway barefoot. But his effort was worth it. He was just in time for Noah to meet Santa on his firetruck.
We came back in excited to see Noah's reaction that Santa had just come to see him at his house. "That scared my ears!" he cried. "That was really scary!" Yes, an incredibly loud firetruck with its siren blaring at your door when you are half asleep is pretty scary. Didn't really think that one through. Before we could tuck Noah back in we were greeted by one last firetruck siren and Santa bellowing, "Merry Christmas to All!" Which resulted in waking a very unhappy slumbering Max. Apparently our firetruck Santa had forgot the part about To All a Good Night...
2 notes:
